According to system satisfaction surveys in various media, about half of all system implementation projects are considered "failures," and in surveys of factors contributing to "dissatisfaction," "failure in the requirements definition phase" is high on the list. It is said that the gap in understanding and recognition of "RFI" and "RFP" prepared by the customer and provided to the vendor during the selection phase is one of the factors leading to "failure in the requirements definition phase" and "unsatisfactory systems.
