In the area of procurement in the manufacturing industry, skill succession of veteran personnel is a major issue.
In the procurement process, it is essential to have the ability to propose and negotiate with suppliers, to have in-depth knowledge of materials and related technologies, and to work closely with development, design, and manufacturing.
However, in many Japanese companies, these skills have not been formalized and remain in the hands of individual veterans.
Given the reality that many veterans will reach retirement age within the next 10 years, there is not much time left to pass on these skills.
In this seminar, Mr. Koyama of PwC Consulting, LLC will be invited to
to explain practical steps to prepare for the loss of skills upon the retirement of veterans, along with the latest trends and specific examples.
In addition, the importance of systemization to accelerate the retention of skills among younger personnel and the need for S2P systems to support procurement and purchasing operations in a single integrated manner will also be discussed.
In the latter half of the seminar, Works Applications, Inc. will introduce HUE Purchase, a purchasing management system that supports the advancement of purchasing and procurement.
