The wall that waits beyond on-balance sheet accounting - Design techniques to turn the new lease accounting into a "turn-around operation

2025/08/05 (Tue) 16:00~

Many companies are facing the following problems in complying with the new lease accounting standards: "It is difficult to determine whether a lease is a lease or not based on the contract"
"Contract information is scattered among various departments, and it is difficult to grasp the whole picture".
In adapting to the new standards, it may be necessary to restructure business processes across departments that are not limited to the accounting department alone.
This greatly increases the difficulty level of the overall project.
Furthermore, for companies with a fiscal year ending in March, if a trial operation (so-called dry run) is conducted in the two quarters prior to application,
there is actually less than one year left for preparation, and an immediate response is required.

This seminar will provide an explanation from a practical perspective to those in the accounting department who are feeling the challenges of such a response.
It will explain how to reconstruct the workflow necessary to link the collection of information on lease contracts to accounting treatment, and how to proceed with cooperation with related departments.
In addition, TOKIUM Corporation and Works Applications Co., Ltd. which provide solutions to comply with the new lease accounting standard will introduce
solutions that support the entire process from collection, identification, and processing, as well as their specific applications.
