SB Kawasumi Co., Ltd. was the first company in Japan to successfully commercialize disposable blood collection and transfusion sets, and has since been developing various medical devices as a pioneer in disposable medical devices for half a century. Today, we are expanding our business globally with products related to dialysis, blood purification, blood bags, and catheters for endovascular treatment.
We also focus on research and development of advanced medical devices that are less physically demanding on patients, and provide products that meet the changing medical needs of the times.

Background of Introduction
With the construction of the management accounting system, the linkage with the existing financial accounting system became an issue - sufficient data required for management accounting could not be transferred.

PROJECT HISTORY
The trigger was a request to build a management accounting system
The existing accounting system specialized in financial accounting for reporting the company's management information to the outside world, so there was no system to help the company's managers and middle managers understand the company's management status and make decisions.
However, the existing financial accounting system was not capable of generating sufficient data for management accounting, and the large cost of modification was an issue.
Therefore, the company began to consider a financial and management accounting system with a view to replacing the existing system, rather than modifying it.
HUE Classic" was adopted because of its high degree of flexibility as a system
In selecting a system, particular emphasis was placed on the flexibility of the system for transferring data from the financial accounting to the management accounting side. HUE Classic was highly evaluated for its ability to handle the transfer of allocation processing results from the financial side to the management accounting side, as various conditions can be specified, and the creation of company-specific analysis materials can be handled by the standard functions without specification changes.
In addition, the system was highly evaluated for its ability to centrally manage not only non-consolidated financial statements but also consolidated financial statements and the preparation of disclosure documents, thereby contributing to the maintenance of internal controls.
Building a management accounting system that works seamlessly with financial accounting

The adoption of "HUE Classic," which seamlessly links financial accounting and management accounting, has made it possible to perform management accounting in a centralized manner without being aware of the boundary between financial and management accounting. This has facilitated the preparation of analytical materials for internal management and middle management to understand the state of business operations, and contributed to the early implementation of various types of decision-making.
Responding flexibly to internal and external changes in the environment
SB Kawasumi Co., Ltd. completed its response to the "Transparency Guidelines with Medical Institutions in the Medical Device Industry," which became applicable in fiscal 2013, without any problems. The company was able to smoothly respond to these changes in the external environment because of the high functional comprehensiveness and versatility of "HUE Classic. Since its inception, HUE Classic has continued to incorporate requests from users into its standard functions, and since each function is designed for all types of operations, the standard functions can accommodate various changes. When management asked us to change the payment method for expense claims in two months and to expand the same payment method to all offices as in the head office, we were able to complete the change in two months as requested.
HUE Classic" does not require any additional development, and thus enables the speedy response described above.
As described above, HUE Classic can absorb changes in the external environment, such as changes in laws and taxes, as well as changes in the internal systems of each company, and can respond flexibly and free of charge to changes in the internal and external environment by simply using "HUE Classic.
Business Improvement with BIPS
SB Kawasumi Co., Ltd. was one of the first to introduce BIPS, a free business improvement consulting service launched by Works in August 2013 for client companies that have introduced and are using the "HUE Classic" AC series of accounting package software. The company is working to improve the efficiency of its accounting operations.
