(Headquarters: Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture;President and CEO: Yukito Higaki; hereinafter “Imabari Shipbuilding”) have gone live with WAP’s cloud-based ERP system for large enterprises, “HUE.”Imabari Shipbuilding utilized the standard features of “HUE” to address complex business requirements while achieving simultaneous go-live across nine group companies. This go-live has driven the standardization and streamlining of business operations.

[Background of Implementation] Moving Away from Complexity and Reliance on Individual Expertise Caused by Custom Development

　As Japan’s largest shipbuilding group, Imabari Shipbuilding faced challenges in its traditional system operations, including the increasing complexity of system architecture due to custom development and the reliance on specific individuals for system operations. Additionally, managing the additional development costs associated with compliance with legal revisions and optimizing operational workloads were major management priorities.In selecting a system, “HUE” was chosen because it offered comprehensive standard functions capable of handling complex business requirements and provided free version upgrades to accommodate future regulatory changes.

[Benefits of Implementation] Achieved simultaneous go-live across nine group companies and standardized operations

　In this project, the financial accounting, accounts receivable and payable management, and fixed asset management systems all went live simultaneously. By integrating the operational foundations of each company, we achieved standardization and efficiency in operations. During implementation, we met business requirements specific to the shipbuilding industry—such as complex data integration with the materials procurement system—using only standard functions.We will continue to support the establishment of a sustainable management foundation through the use of “HUE.”
