Outline of the initiatives
Morinaga Milk Industry has been promoting the introduction of HUE DI with a view to supporting digital invoicing in order to improve the efficiency of accounting operations and go paperless; through HUE DI, the company has been receiving digital invoices with some of its business partners, thereby improving the efficiency and accuracy of its operations. On the other hand, the company has identified issues unique to a large company, such as the cost of coordination due to the large number of suppliers and differences in systems and formats among them, and is working to improve operations in order to spread the use of HUE DI.
Morinaga Milk Industry and WAP will contribute to the efficiency and standardization of inter-company transactions by establishing a system that is easy for business partners to use.
<Comments from Mr. Taku Yamada, General Manager of Finance Department, Morinaga Milk Industry Co.
As we move forward with the digitization of invoices, we are realizing the benefits of receiving them electronically rather than on paper and in data rather than in electronic form. On the other hand, there are some issues that require time for the entire company to make the transition due to the large number of business partners, but we will continue to work with WAP to create a more user-friendly system that also involves our business partners.
