Considering System Renewal to Improve Business Operations for IFRS Adoption

 T.E.S.Tec Corporation

T.E.S.Tec Corporation

Manufacturing

TS TECH is a comprehensive manufacturer of automotive interior components, focusing on seats for four-wheeled vehicles, and supplies seats for approximately 70% of Honda vehicles worldwide. The company is building a global supply system by aggressively expanding its overseas operations in line with overseas local production by automakers. The company needed to restructure its accounting system to improve its business operations, as it urgently needed to reduce man-hours in its current accounting operations due to the increased workload caused by the application of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).

HUE Classic" AC series was adopted to achieve the goal of halving the number of man-hours required for business operations.

By adopting the "HUE Classic" AC series, which is equipped with standard business functions for all types of industries and business categories, it is possible to systemize and save labor for credit management operations and expense reimbursement operations for each overseas transaction, which were previously supplemented by manual operations. This will enable the company to reduce the number of man-hours required for the scope of work performed by "HUE Classic" by about half. Another deciding factor in the adoption of HUE Classic was the fact that the COMPANY HR series already in use at the company had already halved the number of man-hours required for the target tasks compared to before the use of HUE Classic.
Furthermore, HUE Classic can continue to expand its standard functions through free version upgrades in response to changes in the external environment, such as IFRS, changes in the internal environment, such as operational changes, and changes in infrastructure and architecture. Therefore, no additional system costs are incurred in the promotion of business improvement. In addition, the new cloud service "SoftLayer" (*1) from IBM, which the company has adopted as its foundation, is also supported at no additional cost.

TS TECH will continue to promote management support measures, including global management support measures such as advanced budgeting and optimization of group fund management, by proactively utilizing "HUE Classic" with its rich standard functions. In addition, Works will support the ongoing review of business processes through its business improvement consulting service "BIPS" (*2) and other services, and will also support the company's overseas expansion.

(*1) "SoftLayer"
is a public cloud service of IBM Cloud characterized by high performance through the provision of bare-metal servers and high-speed inter-data center connections.

(*2) "BIPS" (Business Improvement Planning Support)
This is a free service that supports continuous improvement of accounting operations not only at the time of system implementation but also after the system goes live. Since "HUE Classic" is not customized individually for each company, it is possible to analyze the operational status of customers' "HUE Classic" based on uniform indicators, enabling visualization of the company's operational status and comparison with the operational status of other companies. In addition, the consultants in charge of HUE Classic offer proposals for business improvement measures and round tables for sharing initiatives within each client company.
