Accounting / Fixed Assets
Lite-On Corporation
Major retailer, Lite-On, breaks away from foreign packages and adopts "HUE Classic", expecting 50% cost reduction and revolutionary business improvement.
Lite-On is a company that sells casual wear, with jeans as its core item, and operates a nationwide chain of stores in a variety of formats, including shopping centers and street-level stores. Lite-On had previously used a foreign packaged system as its core system, but it incurred significant costs for annual maintenance, operation, and management of the system. In addition, because the system required significant add-on development, it was difficult to respond to tax and legal changes and requests for improvements from business staff, and the business was becoming increasingly complex and humanized in order to adapt to the system. To solve these problems, Lite-On considered a system renewal.
A system that adapts to operational changes due to business improvement without incurring costs
After comparing and contrasting package products from various companies, Right On selected "HUE Classic" as its next accounting system. The following three points were particularly evaluated in adopting the system:
1. 50% reduction in system maintenance costs can be expected.
"HUE Classic" does not incur any additional costs other than the fixed maintenance fee, and can adapt to future changes in the internal and external environment, such as tax and legal revisions and changes in internal systems, free of charge. This leads to long-term cost reductions.
2 . Continuous business improvement can be implemented within the fixed maintenance fee.

This prevents the system from becoming obsolete by identifying wasteful operations and preventing the work from being assigned to a specific person.
3 . Support for operations unique to the retail industry and easy creation of reports for management
It is possible to automatically calculate sales-linked rent, a task unique to the retail industry, and to determine profit/loss and estimated sales landing points for any segment, such as brand/region. The new system also makes these reports quick and easy to generate, allowing for more detailed, contextual analysis of information.
Lite-On aims to reduce costs and improve operations by implementing HUE Classic as the first step in its transition to Works' new HUE product. Works will also support customers' migration from foreign packaged systems with its unique migration methods, migration tools, and extensive know-how. Through these efforts, Works will support Lite-On's continued growth in the retail industry, which responds to ever-changing consumer needs, from a system perspective.
