NITTETSU CHEMICAL & MATERIALS has been operating a host system developed in-house for financial accounting and other back-office operations for a long time. As a result, the company was faced with issues such as dispersion of various information due to repeated specification changes over the years, delays in responding to internal control and legal revisions, and the system operation and maintenance becoming more and more person-oriented. Therefore, to resolve the above issues, a migration from a host system to a packaged system was considered. At the same time, business process reforms were implemented to achieve "centralized management of all financial and accounting operations" and "establishment of a strong information management infrastructure.

HUE Classic" AC series was evaluated for its ability to enable in-house operations.

When considering a new system, the company compared several packaged systems and decided that "the standard functions covered the business areas required and allowed centralized management of various information," "functions could be added free of charge in response to various changes in the business environment, including legal revisions," and "the system structure would enable us to promote in-house operations. The "HUE Classic" AC series was selected based on the following points. Another factor was the fact that Works already had a proven track record within the group.

Building a Strong Information Management Infrastructure

By using HUE Classic, the company will be able to consolidate information linked to business operations, such as linking business units and corporate earnings, and standardizing general purchasing operations within the group.
