Kajima Corporation
Reduced one million documents per year and realized a paperless office. System training was also conducted fully remotely using web conferencing tools.
Kajima Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Hiromasa Amano, President & CEO; hereinafter "Kajima") has introduced the ERP package software "HUE SCM Series" and started operation services.
Background of Introduction
Kajima has been operating an accounting system developed in-house with additional functions in order to cope with the complex accounting operations unique to a major construction company. However, the system had become increasingly complex due to repeated functional additions over the past 20 years, and there were limits to the amount of maintenance and functional enhancements that could be continued into the future. HUE SCM Series" was adopted.
2. Introduction Effects
Promotion of telework through migration to the cloud
In addition to the "HUE SCM Series," Kajima has simultaneously implemented the "HUE AC Series," an accounting and financial accounting system provided by Works Applications Group. By using both series together, a single package can handle a wide range of accounting tasks, from profit-and-loss management for each individual construction project to company-wide accounting.
Reduced 1 million documents per year and realized a paperless system
The "HUE Series" has acquired JIIMA certification* for "Certification of Legal Requirements for Electronic Transaction Software," "Certification of Legal Requirements for Electronic Ledger Software," and "Certification of Software for Scanner Preservation under the Electronic Ledger Act," enabling business efficiency and paperless operations through digitization of documents. Kajima used to circulate and store approximately 1 million documents annually, including accounting slips, receipts, and invoices. By going paperless, the company has been able to improve operational efficiency by reducing storage space and costs, and by improving search functions through the digitization of information.
In the past, internal user education and briefing sessions for new system introductions and the like were conducted by personnel directly visiting many business locations. The implementation of the new system was made possible by taking advantage of the characteristics of HUE through the use of the cloud, and by fully remote training of system users using web conferencing tools. The system also established an operational flow for responding to inquiries from approximately 10,000 system users using web conferencing tools, etc., enabling prompt responses.
*A system to certify commercially available software that is judged by the Japan Document Information Management Association, a third-party organization of the National Tax Agency, to meet the legal requirements of the Electronic Books and Records Preservation Law.
