Fujipan Introduces "HUE Chatbot"
Automating 23,000 internal inquiries with generative AI

 (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Osamu Hata; hereinafter "WAP") announced today that Fujipan Group HQ (Head Office: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture; President: Tomohiko Yasuda; hereinafter "Fujipan") has decided to implement WAP's AI chatbot "HUE Chatbot". (Headquarters: Nagoya, Aichi, Japan; President: Tomohiko Yasuda; hereinafter referred to as "Fujipan") has decided to introduce WAP's HUE chatbot. Of the estimated 420,000 internal inquiries received annually from approximately 23,000 employees, Fujipan expects to automate 15% (approximately 63,000 inquiries) to improve operational efficiency and focus on core business operations.

Background of adoption: The power of AI and automation to support multi-location, multi-national employee support

 Fujipan has a large number of employees, and inquiries about internal rules and systems are concentrated in the General Affairs Department. In particular, it was difficult to respond to inquiries from night shift workers and non-Japanese employees, and the staff in charge were unable to focus on their core duties.
 Therefore, we decided to introduce HUE Chatbot to reduce the burden of responding to inquiries and improve convenience. Because it can generate responses based on uploaded internal documents, HUE Chatbot was highly evaluated for its highly accurate RAG-based responses and ease of maintenance. In addition, the flexible operability of the system with support for multiple languages, including Vietnamese and Indonesian, was also a deciding factor in the decision to introduce the system.

Expected Effects: Improved efficiency of FAQ maintenance, 24-hour support, and improved convenience.

 The HUE chatbot is available 24 hours a day, so employees who work night shifts or early mornings can use it regardless of their work hours. In addition, by simply uploading company rules and operational manuals, the AI can reference the content and automatically generate responses. This greatly reduces the burden on managers to create and update a large number of FAQs, and enables employees to get answers quickly at any time.
 Fujipan expects to initially reduce 15% (about 63,000 inquiries) of the approximately 420,000 inquiries it receives each year, and expects to improve the work efficiency and convenience of both managers and employees.


We expect that the introduction of HUE Chatbot will help automate the process and reduce the workload of the staff in charge. We have already started using it at the general affairs counter, but in the future we would like to expand its use to other areas, such as human resources, to improve overall work efficiency and provide accurate answers that are not affected by the skills of the staff member in charge.

What is HUE Chatbot?

 An AI-type chatbot that responds to "fluctuations" in the Japanese language by applying NLP (natural language processing) technology. Equipped with "SudachiDict," Japan's largest natural language processing dictionary with a registered vocabulary of 3 million words (as of July 2025), it can accurately determine the unique Japanese orthography and respond to ambiguous questions, enabling highly accurate dialogue as if it were talking to a person. In addition, the usage status and points for improvement are visualized on a dashboard, allowing anyone to perform PDCA cycles with intuitive operation.
