HUE supports tax treatment of new lease accounting standards in its latest version.
- Standardized for tax-effect accounting. The fastest launch in Japan - Works Applications, Inc.

2025/07/10

(Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Osamu Hata; hereafter "WAP") announced today that the latest version of its cloud ERP for major companies, "HUE," will include tax processing functions for the new lease accounting standards in the fixed asset management module "HUE Asset" as a standard feature. The new functionality will be available from July 2, 2025. This functionality allows for the centralized management of lease information that differs between accounting and taxation, and enables companies to deal with the "tax discrepancies" they face in an efficient and accurate manner.
HUE continues to evolve in terms of both system compliance and business innovation, and this function embodies the design concept that emphasizes a deep understanding of the system and practical compliance.

 HUE

Tax discrepancies" arising from the new lease accounting standards

New lease accounting standards will be mandatorily applied for fiscal years beginning on or after April 2027. Under this system, all lease contracts will be required to be accounted for on-balance sheet in principle, and the fundamentals of the system, including the definition of leases and contract periods, will be significantly revised. On the other hand, according to the Tax Reform Proposal for FY2025 and the revised notice issued at the end of June, the tax treatment of lease transactions for corporate tax purposes will remain the same as before.
This discrepancy has a significant impact on corporate practice, as companies are required to adjust the difference between accounting and tax treatment when filing tax returns. Many companies are faced with the challenge of not being able to keep up with the tax side of their business by only dealing with the accounting side.

 Examples of tax adjustments

Immediate response to the new accounting standard. Provided in the fastest time in Japan.

To address these issues, HUE Asset has developed and released a function that allows companies to maintain and manage lease term and amount information separately for accounting and tax purposes, making it the fastest in Japan*1. This reduces the practical workload and enables efficient compliance with the system.
This function is structured to flexibly accommodate the combined use of old and new systems, gradual transition, and future system revisions, allowing companies to absorb changes without stopping operations. In addition, since the system is provided as a free version upgrade, companies can start using it according to their own implementation schedules, and there is no need to add external tools or develop them separately in the event of system revisions.
In the future, HUE plans to support tax-effect accounting scheduling, consumption tax installment purchase tax credit, and pro forma standard business taxation.

Strong in systems and smart in operations. Continuously evolving HUE

HUE has evolved as an ERP that has repeatedly responded to system revisions, and with the inclusion of tax processing as a standard feature, HUE has taken another step toward becoming a "fully equipped" ERP. We will make it the standard for future ERPs to be able to continue operations without panicking, stopping, or taking special measures in the event of legal revisions.
HUE is now stepping into the future of business operations by incorporating AI functions. Strong in systems and smart in operations. HUE will continue to grow as an ERP that is close to the business and fits in with the workplace through both deepening and evolution.
