2025/04/23

(Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Osamu Hata; hereinafter "WAP") announced today that Nankai Electric Railway Co. Nankai Electric Railway Co. With this, Nankai Electric Railway has achieved a paperless operation of approximately 20,000 invoices per year. The ERP package "HUE Classic Series" ("HUE Classic") was also upgraded, and the accounting system was fully migrated to "HUE AC Series" ("HUE"). The company also strengthened its ability to respond to changes in laws and regulations, aiming to build a management foundation that is resistant to change.

Background of Introduction: System renewal to promote DX and accelerate response to legal revisions

Nankai Electric Railway decided to renew its accounting and financial system to improve productivity in accounting operations, secure and develop human resources, and support the realization of diverse work styles. In addition to the upgrade to HUE, HUE DI, which is highly integrated, was newly introduced. The ability to utilize the Nankai Group's shared services was also highly evaluated.

Expected Effects: Establishment of a management foundation that is resistant to change and growth

With the introduction of HUE DI, Nankai Electric Railway has completely eliminated the use of paper for approximately 20,000 invoices per year and is now compliant with the Electronic Bookkeeping Law for payment operations. Furthermore, the use of AI-OCR has partially automated the checking of voucher information, thereby improving operational efficiency.
In the future, the company expects to strengthen its management foundation for sustainable growth by complying with the revised law through a free version upgrade of HUE, digitizing inter-company transactions through Peppol compliance using HUE DI, and visualizing management indicators using HUE.

Comments from Mr. Takashi Urata

We were satisfied with the functions of HUE Classic, which we had been using, but we decided to upgrade to HUE in order to promote DX in the future and to more smoothly comply with the Electronic Bookkeeping Act and other legal revisions. With regard to the newly introduced HUE DI, WAP was able to quickly reflect our requirements in the system, and we believe that we were able to realize a paperless system and more efficient checking operations using AI-OCR in a way that suits our business processes. As a user of HUE, we will continue to frequently exchange opinions with WAP and promote DX using HUE, which we expect will enable us to realize flexible corporate management in response to changes in society.
