 On February 27, Works Applications Co., Ltd. and the Japan CFO Association (JCFOA) will hold the "New Lease Accounting Standards Forum" online, The new lease accounting standards, which will become mandatory in 2027, will have a significant impact on balance sheets, so it is essential for companies to respond to them as soon as possible. The Forum will feature Mr. Yasuki Kawanishi of the Accounting Standards Board of Japan (ASBJ), which compiled the new lease accounting standards, as well as experts from companies that have already adopted IFRS 16 and auditing firms, who will provide detailed explanations of the key points of the new standards, their impact on practice, and examples of how companies are responding.
