　(Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Osamu Hata; hereinafter "WAP") will co-host an explanatory seminar with KPMG AZSA LLC on October 9 in response to the release of new lease accounting standards by the ASBJ (Accounting Standards Board of Japan). In this seminar, we will explain the key points of the changes from the previous standard and present specific measures based on the experience of both companies in applying "IFRS 16 (*1) ".

　On September 13, 2024, a new accounting standard for leases was released, which in principle requires all lease contracts to be accounted for on-balance sheet from April 2027, which is expected to significantly increase the burden of accounting treatment. For companies seeking to prepare for this change, WAP, together with KPMG AZSA & Co. will hold an online seminar on the "New Lease Accounting Standard".

In this seminar, WAP and KPMG AZSA & Co., who have extensive experience in the application of IFRS 16, the basis for the new standard, will provide a thorough overview of the latest new standard, the differences from the draft, and points to keep in mind when promoting actual projects.
