　(Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Osamu Hata; hereafter "WAP") held a company-wide kick-off event in July, where management policies were explained and awards were presented. Hata summarized the 28th fiscal year (ending June 2012) by saying, "The groundwork has finally been laid," and emphasized that the 29th fiscal year (ending June 2013), which has just begun, "will be a year of leap forward.

　The company-wide kick-off was held in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kumamoto in mid-late July, and was attended by approximately 500 employees in Japan. At the beginning of the kickoff, Mr. Hata explained that the banner for the 29th term, "steadfastness," is a Buddhist teaching that states that if one works hard at cultivation, one can attain a state of absolute happiness, which is appropriate for the current WAP as it overcomes hardships and enters a new phase of its history.

Unwavering Commitment

　Looking back on the 28th fiscal year, Qin reported that the business plan progressed as planned and achieved the expected results. He emphasized that "the restructuring phase that began in 2017 is now completely in the past," and that in the 29th fiscal year, WAP will enter a "new phase of leap forward" by achieving two things: "deepening" to deepen its sources of strength and growth, and "evolving" to broaden those sources.

　He also stated that, amid the sluggish digital competitiveness of Japanese society, "We have been working together with our customers, but now we will be in a position to lead," and appealed to the audience to make proposals to maximize the growth of our customers as a presence that will have a significant impact on strengthening their digital competitiveness.

　He explained that the company's priority for the 29th fiscal year is to strengthen cooperation with partners, and that it will be able to make proposals that best address customers' problems by utilizing two-tier ERP and composable ERP. The company has already announced strategic business alliances with partners as well as advanced product collaboration capabilities.

　Hata said, "Through these initiatives, we will achieve our goals, and WAP will become an impactful player in strengthening the digital competitiveness of Japanese society. It is truly an unwavering commitment," he concluded.

The hearts of all employees united as one

　At the company-wide kickoff, the management strategies of each division were explained by the managing directors, a dialogue was held on the initiatives of the Digital Society Promotion Division, which was newly established in the 28th term, and awards were presented for 10 and 20 years of continuous service. There was also an awards ceremony for employees and teams that performed well in the previous term, providing an opportunity for employees to inspire each other. Management visited all the venues, where all employees confirmed their goals for the 29th fiscal year and united their hearts in preparation for a year of great progress.
