TOKYO, Japan, July 10, 2012 - Works Applications, Inc. (WAP), a leader in innovation in cloud and industrial AI software, today announced the formation of a strategic business alliance with IFS, a leader in cloud and industrial AI software. The alliance will provide a new option for customers facing challenges around their core systems by combining the high business coverage of WAP's HUE ERP for large enterprises, which is well versed in Japanese business practices, with the advanced functionality of IFS Cloud, IFS' diverse suite of solutions.

New possibilities for two-tier ERP and composable ERP

WAP and IFS have formed a strategic business alliance to help customers improve their core system investments and operational efficiency in the Japanese large enterprise market. The alliance will focus on the emerging ERP trends of "two-tier ERP" and "composable ERP," promoting flexible system architecture with advanced standard features to meet the business needs of different countries and regions, and offering proposals to achieve "full standardization" and "de-add-ons.

WAP's "HUE" ERP for large enterprises boasts more than 6,700 standard functions and a high business requirement conformance rate (Fit rate of more than 97%*), and has established a solid position in the Japanese market for large enterprises. Meanwhile, IFS' "IFS Cloud" has 27 years of experience in the Japanese market and has been implemented globally by more than 6,000 companies, earning it a strong reputation for production management in Japan and globally.

The alliance will focus on providing best practices optimized for the culture and needs of the countries and regions where it is deployed, with the aim of achieving "full standardization" and "de-add-ons". In particular, the alliance will flexibly support Japanese business practices through the integration of the domestically produced ERP "HUE" and "IFS Cloud" as a solution for customers who have issues with standard functions related to Japanese business practices. In addition, for global expansion, IFS will promote the construction of two-tier ERP and composable ERP using "IFS Cloud".
