　(Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Osamu Hata; hereafter "WAP") has received the "2023 Regional Telework Award" in the category of "Prevention of Job Turnover, Recruitment and Development of Local Human Resources, and Promotion of Work Location" for companies, organizations and local governments that are actively engaged in regional telework, (Kumamoto Prefecture and Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture) in the "Prevention of Job Turnover, Recruitment and Training of Local Human Resources, and Promotion of Workplace Work" category of the "2023 Local Telework Awards" for companies, organizations, and local governments that are actively engaged in telework. The award was given in recognition of the company's efforts to promote migration to Kumamoto through its migration support program, and to train IT/DX human resources and create jobs for local inexperienced IT workers in the region.

1. WAP's work style reform and regional contribution to Kumamoto: training program and job creation

　WAP has introduced a full flextime system, a flextime leave system, and a work system based on telework principles in order to create an environment in which all employees can maximize their abilities. In February 2021, we opened an office in Kumamoto, based on the location agreement signed with Kumamoto City in cooperation with Kumamoto Prefecture. WAP also supports flexible and innovative work styles, such as a three- or four-day workweek and a partial relaxation of side jobs.
　WAP has established a step-up training program to support the career development of inexperienced IT professionals, mainly those who have moved to Kumamoto from urban areas, and is actively recruiting local talent. In line with employment promotion and business expansion, we opened a second location in October 2023. We will continue our efforts to contribute to solving the social issue of the shortage of IT and DX human resources by providing human resource development and employment opportunities originating from local regions.

2. Telework Award for Regional Development (Minister of State for Regional Development Award)

　The "Telework Award for Regional Development (Minister of State for Regional Development Award)" is an award given to companies and organizations engaged in "telework for regional development" that contribute to the revitalization of regional areas in a variety of ways by accelerating the flow of people to the regions, such as through migration without leaving the company, increasing the number of people involved through work vacations, and establishing regional satellite offices for Tokyo-based companies. The awards are intended to recognize and publicize companies, organizations, and municipalities that are engaged in promoting "telework for regional development" by companies, organizations, and corporations.
　In addition, a collaborative partner award has been established to recognize local governments that are implementing initiatives in close collaboration with the companies and organizations that have been selected for the awards.
