Electronic Bookkeeping Law compliance in one click
Oct. 31, 2023
(Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Osamu Hata; hereafter "WAP") announced today that WAP's cloud-based workflow service "HUE Workflow" and paperlogic, Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Koichi Yokoyama, President and CEO; hereinafter "PaperLogic"), a cloud service that completely eliminates the need to store documents that are required by law to be kept in paper form, began working together on October 23 to comply with the Electronic Bookkeeping Law.
The appeasement period will expire in December 2023, and after January 2024, it will be necessary to comply with Article 7 of the Electronic Bookkeeping Act. Article 7 of the Act stipulates the electronic preservation of transaction information, such as order forms and contracts, when such information is delivered in electronic data rather than in paper form. Under certain requirements, it is mandatory to store such information in data.
This collaboration will enable paperlogic users to easily save documents approved in the HUE workflow, such as tax-related documents, by associating the approval process with the documents. paperlogic will also allow users to easily store documents in the HUE workflow. paperlogic can also automatically time-stamp documents by certified businesses and store documents in accordance with the requirements of the Electronic Bookkeeping Act.
About paperlogic
PaperLogic's "paperlogic" e-contracts are not limited to contracts, but also widely support the electronic storage of invoices, delivery slips, board minutes, and other legally stored documents in general. In addition to integrated management of scanned documents and electronic transaction data, it also enables long-term preservation in accordance with laws and regulations. For a fixed monthly fee, you can use electronic signatures and time stamps as much as you like (no pay-as-you-go fees), and both witness (authorized seal) and party (personal seal) signatures are supported, or a combination of both. This is an easy-to-use service in compliance with the revised Electronic Bookkeeping Act, especially Article 7 (electronic transactions) of the same law.
