Telework encourages migration, DX human resource development, and new ways of working
WAP signed a location agreement with Kumamoto City and opened its Kumamoto office in February 2009 as a customer support and BCP base. WAP's work schedule is based on a full-flex system, and the majority of employees work primarily by telework. In addition, in order to expand employees' work options and contribute to the local community, a subsidy program was established for employees moving to Kumamoto from the Tokyo metropolitan area, etc. Eight employees have moved to Kumamoto so far.
From December 2010 to February 2011, a "trial migration" program was implemented with the aim of leading to full-fledged migration. Thirty-eight employees stayed in Kumamoto City for one week to one month to experience the city's livability. In addition, the company is creating an environment that encourages employees to explore and practice new ways of working by relaxing side jobs for those enrolled in the Kumamoto office and introducing a system that allows employees to choose between 3 or 4 days off per week.
In making this declaration, WAP will promote the migration of people to Kumamoto by participating in local projects and promoting workcations, hire local inexperienced personnel and train them through its own training programs, develop DX human resources in the region, create jobs, and create an environment where people can work in a progressive manner regardless of location.
