1. seeking advanced summarization technology and launching a joint development team

　RevComm provides sales support services that combine AI and voice, including "MiiTel," a cloud IP phone equipped with voice analysis AI that visualizes telephone sales and customer response, and "MiiTel for Zoom," an online business meeting tool linked with Zoom. Of these, "MiiTel" offers a variety of functions in addition to IP telephony, including automatic recording of conversations, transcription and summarization by AI, and automatic registration of call history.

　With natural language processing technologies based on large-scale language models such as ChatGPT gaining attention, RevComm, which is working to promote speech communication analysis technology, saw a need to further advance its dialogue analysis functions. Specifically, RevComm aims not only to extract important sentences from conversations and calls and summarize them as a whole, as existing functions do, but also to automatically create "meeting minutes" by organizing them by date, action, TODO, and other items. To achieve this, it is necessary to understand the structure (topic) of the entire conversation and summarize it.

　RevComm asked WAP, a research institute specializing in NLP (natural language processing) and LLM (large-scale language modeling), for cooperation. The team is made up of members of various nationalities. The team will consist of members of various nationalities and will analyze and research various technologies, including the use of ChatGPT, utilizing global perspectives and technologies to develop technologies that will improve corporate productivity.

2. Highly specialized knowledge and technology support "Sudachi" development team members

　The NLP Laboratory conducts research on artificial intelligence and natural language processing technologies. It has released the open source software (OSS) "Sudachi" and is engaged in other activities to improve business efficiency and productivity through the use of natural language processing, and has personnel and experience in this field.

　The members joining the joint development team have long been involved in NLP research and development. Their papers have been accepted by top conferences in the field of natural language processing, such as EMNLP, NAACL, and LREC, and they are also involved in the development of Sudachi, a leading research project of the NLP Research Institute.

About "Sudachi"
This Japanese morphological analyzer, which combines high flexibility and accuracy, is open source software released free of charge by WAP. Morphological analyzer divides text into the smallest units that have meaning, and assigns information such as parts of speech. Once the part-of-speech information is added, it is possible to exclude particles from the search criteria, for example.
Sudachi incorporates the latest words into the dictionary required for analysis, and as of May 2010, 2.9 million words, the largest number in Japan, have been registered.
