(Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Osamu Hata; hereinafter referred to as "WAP") conducted a "trial migration to Kumamoto" for its employees from December 15, 2010 to February 22, 2011. This program is part of the Cabinet Office's project to create a telework model for regional development, and is an effort to have employees actually telework in Kumamoto City and use it as a reference when considering emigration. The 38 employees who participated in the program expressed a high degree of satisfaction, with nearly 60% of them saying that the program "strengthened my desire to move to Kumamoto. Two employees who had been considering moving to Kumamoto decided to do so after the "trial" period.

One male consultant in his 30s, who lives in the Tokyo metropolitan area, was originally considering moving to Kumamoto and made his final decision after checking out the atmosphere around his new home during the trial period. After the trial period, he moved to Kumamoto and started his life in Kumamoto. This employee began considering emigration after visiting Kumamoto in September 2010, because he "felt the ease of living and working in Kumamoto.
80% of the 38 participants came from the Tokyo metropolitan area, of which two said they would like to move to Kumamoto in the future and three said they would consider Kumamoto as a candidate when they consider moving there in the near future. Nearly 70% of the respondents also said that they would like to make Kumamoto a candidate when they consider moving in the future. <br /></p
Kumamoto Trial Migration
When WAP opened its Kumamoto office in February 2009, it introduced a special allowance system for people moving to Kumamoto from the Tokyo metropolitan area, etc. To date, six people have moved to Kumamoto. The purpose of the "Trial Emigration" program is to allow people to actually experience the good qualities of the region and to help them make a full-fledged decision to emigrate. During this period, each of the 38 employees spent from one week to a maximum of one month teleworking at a hotel in Kumamoto City or at the Kumamoto office.

2. Kumamoto Office offers a variety of work styles
WAP has established a new Kumamoto office as a base for customer support and BCP measures, with approximately 50 people working there. Working styles vary, with some commuting to the office and others teleworking. In conjunction with the expansion into Kumamoto, WAP has provided a special allowance for people from the Tokyo metropolitan area to move to Kumamoto, and six people have moved to Kumamoto so far. The work schedule at WAP is fully flexible.
WAP's work schedule is based on a full-flex system, and since 2008, when the new corona outbreak spread, telework has been introduced at all offices. We lend necessary equipment such as PCs and smartphones for telework and provide a telework allowance of 8,000 yen per month, so that each employee can freely choose where and how to work depending on the situation.
