About Hataraku Yale
Hataraku Yale is the nickname for the Employee Benefits Recognition and Certification System, which recognizes and certifies companies, organizations, and municipalities that are working to improve and utilize their employee benefits programs. The program is implemented annually by the Executive Committee of the Employee Benefit Recognition and Recognition System, and evaluations are based on the following factors
Main evaluation viewpoints
(1) Is the company aware of the needs of its employees in terms of benefits?
(2) Whether the company offers benefit programs that meet diverse benefit needs
(3) Whether the company recognizes benefits as a means to solve problems in its management and human resource strategies, and whether they are functioning effectively.
(4) Is the company making effective use of employee benefit expenses, including outsourcing?
(5) Are the management and staff enthusiastic about the enhancement of employee benefits?

2. Works Applications Group's benefit packages
Among the above evaluation perspectives, Works Applications Group received a high evaluation for "(3) Whether the management and human resources strategy recognizes benefits as a means to solve problems and makes effective use of benefits". The evaluation noted that the company has identified a number of issues based on an accurate understanding of human resources and labor issues, and that it has provided appropriate solutions to these issues through its employee benefits program.
For example, in addition to the previously implemented full flex-time system and a flex-leave system that allows individuals to change specific leave days at their discretion, the company changed its work system to one based on telework in principle after the Corona disaster. While the system change enabled a flexible and diverse work style, it also created problems of poor communication and low engagement, which tends to occur under teleworking. To address this issue, we have been promoting communication among employees through internal SNS and internal events, and have been trying to revitalize communication through regular 1-on-1s. We have also conducted our own engagement survey (held monthly), and the CEO responds directly to employee feedback via live video streaming. The CEO responds directly to employee feedback via live video streaming, etc., in an effort to better understand the current situation and improve engagement.
At Works Applications Group, we refer to people with strong problem-solving skills as "critical workers," and one of our missions is to "provide opportunities for critical workers. Aiming to create an environment where critical workers can maximize their abilities, we will continue to flexibly respond to the changing needs of society and employees and work to provide a better environment.
