(Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Osamu Hata), a wholly owned subsidiary of Works Applications Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takayuki Aoki; hereinafter "WAPF"), announces that it will issue new shares of common stock to Works Applications Corporation through a private placement. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takayuki Aoki; hereafter, "WAPF"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Works Applications Frontier Inc.

With this capital increase, WAPF aims to strengthen its development, implementation, and maintenance support systems, as well as its sales and marketing structure, and to introduce "SCM solutions for the construction industry" to 15 to 20 companies over the next five years.

Background of the Capital Increase

Due to the existence of industry-specific accounting standards, the construction industry has been limited compared to other industries in terms of ERP package products that can be operated on a standard function basis. In addition, existing mission-critical systems for the construction industry could not cover the complex business requirements of large corporations, so individual add-ons and customization were essential.

WAPF has been developing the necessary business functions for the construction industry to be implemented as standard functions, and now that the first user, a major construction company, has started operation, WAPF aims to introduce the SCM solution for the construction industry to 15 to 20 companies over the next five years and accelerate its business. We aim to accelerate the business.

About WAPF's SCM solution for the construction industry

WAPF's SCM solution for the construction industry, the "HUE SCM" series, was developed based on the construction industry practices of various companies, and as a system that realizes best practices in the Japanese construction industry, it enables comprehensive support for accounting operations unique to the construction industry. In addition, by providing a standard workflow, the system enables smooth migration from existing systems.

Based on the concept of "ERP that continues to grow based on customer feedback," the business model of adding the unique operations and requirements of each company that implements the system as standard functions will enable the use of a more comprehensive standard package as the number of companies that implement the system increases. By providing solutions with accumulated know-how and knowledge of accounting operations in the construction industry, we will contribute to improving productivity in the construction industry and support DX promotion.

Feature 1: Package configuration considering Japanese construction industry practices
The Works Applications Group has long provided "general accounting and management Accounting," "Receivables and Payables Management," "Cash Management," "Assets Management," "Expense Management," and "Real Estate Management" had been included in the "HUE AC" series of financial accounting systems. In the "HUE SCM" series, in response to requests from the construction industry, we have developed additional functions to support operations specific to the construction industry, such as "order and contract management," "execution budget management," "construction cost management," "construction project management," "JV management," and "procurement and piecework. This eliminates the need to use multiple ERP systems together, The "HUE AC" and "HUE SCM" series will enable the operation of core business areas in the construction industry in a single package.

Feature 2: Visualization of profit/loss and business performance information as a total package
The system covers all the functions required for the specific operations of the construction industry, enabling integrated management from registration of construction projects, formulation of execution budgets, daily estimating and ordering, monthly closing and quarterly closing, and organization of profit and loss information from the start of construction to the completion of construction. Information on orders received, execution budgets, and incurred costs can be immediately collected and confirmed, greatly reducing the need for tabulation work.
