Manufacturing

Tokai Rika, a major Toyota-affiliated auto parts manufacturer, contributes to the creation of an affluent society in which people and vehicles interact and interact through the creation of products such as human interface systems that comfortably convey a person's will to the vehicle, security systems that protect the vehicle, and safety systems that safely protect life. We are contributing to the creation of an affluent society where people can interact with their cars.

Today, the automotive industry is under pressure to undergo a major transformation with the introduction of new technologies such as automated driving, electrification, connectivity, and car sharing. In this environment, Tokai Rika's commitment to "strengthen its revenue base" and "develop and secure human resources and improve labor quality" required the company's accounting and human resource departments to further improve operational efficiency and promote activities that contribute to management. Tokai Rika started to examine systems to improve operations and build a foundation to contribute to management, with a view to reforming the way back-office operations are conducted and introducing International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in the future.

HUE Classic" was selected to support the transformation of the automotive industry in terms of functionality, know-how, and cost.

In adopting HUE Classic, Tokai Rika particularly appreciated the following two points.

(1) The system provides a wide range of functions* required by various industries and business categories as standard functions, so that users can meet their own business requirements without the need for add-ons or other individual development. In addition, by having all users use the same product, the business processes and know-how of each company are accumulated in the product, allowing users to incorporate industry best practices into their operations.

(*Example: In the accounting series, construction in progress, overseas receivables management, group company management, etc.)

(2) Functions deemed necessary for future IFRS adoption, legal revisions, system changes, and changes in business needs are implemented as standard functions within the scope of the fixed maintenance fee through free version upgrades, preventing additional modification costs for system support in conjunction with business improvements and making system investment costs visible. This prevents additional modification costs from being incurred for system support in conjunction with business improvements and makes it possible to visualize system investment costs.

Effects of the introduction of "HUE Classic

Tokai Rika started operation in April 2017 and has achieved the following implementation effects to date.

The accounting system and credit/debt system, which had been operated separately, are now integrated in the accounting series. This has greatly improved the efficiency of the linkage work between the systems, which used to be done manually.
・Reviewed the method of tabulating and storing vouchers by utilizing operational examples of other companies accumulated in the accounting series. As a result, the tabulation work, which used to take more than half a day, can now be performed at the touch of a button, realizing an improvement in operations. In addition, the elimination of slip printing in the storage process has made it possible to go paperless.
・By working on zero-based business improvement through the project, man-hours required to implement existing operations were reduced by an equivalent of two man-hours, freeing up resources for a more direct contribution to management.
